Véronique Broomfield
Véronique has had several careers, beginning as a professional athlete. As a black belt in karate, she won three consecutive Canadian Karate Championships in 1999, 2000, and 2001, and placed second in the Pan-American Games of 2001. This same year, she trained for the World Championship in Athens, but the event was canceled due to the attacks in New York. Véronique then turned her focus to a professional career, completing studies in business administration. She worked as a banker for nine years, but felt something was missing in her life, and she suffered from allergies, asthma, and low energy. She began to research healthy and natural diet, which changed her life completely. This sparked a deep interest in alternative medicines, and Véronique decided to train in Neuro-Cutaneous Technique (TNC) and had the opportunity to study with Stéphane Dalalande, the French osteopath and biokineergist who developed TNC. TNC therapeutic massage presents the opportunity to work with both the physical anatomy and the body’s energetics to encourage great health and healing. Véronique has continued her training in modern shamanism with Alexandre Nadeau (Quebec), expert in human transformation, recognized for his work with Olympic athletes, professional hockey players, and business professionals to help them to achieve life goals and overcome bad habits. Véronique feels very happy today to bring her knowledge and experiences to the Coco Yoga & Wellness community.

Peak States therapyPeak states therapy may address and relieve physical pains, symptoms, and ailments; emotional distress like grief, trauma, and depression; mental blocks or destructive patterns like addiction or money issues; as well as challenging interpersonal relationships. The practice in it’s application is extremely simple and straightforward, but the results can be quite potent, transformative, and life-changing. Sessions are normally two hours, as Veronique talks clients through the healing with a key phrase that represents the client’s problem(s) in relation to the objective they want to achieve. The client will activate the same two acupuncture points of the hands while Veronique guides them to explore how emotions are held in the body as patterns and associations. The philosophy recognizes that humans experience three different forms of consciousness--the mental brain, the heart brain, and the body brain, and it’s important that the three are working together well.
Clients should be aware that release and integration will continue in the days following the treatment, and should be prepared and supported to have time in a comfortable environment to allow for the healing to continue. Due to the possibility of intense reactions as great shifts occur quickly, this therapy may not be appropriate for those with a history of heart attack, suicidal thoughts, or during pregnancy. While it may be possible to achieve successful results in resolving issues entirely in just one session, often a series of four to five sessions will be necessary for a full transformation; Veronique will talk clients through assessing the nature of the symptoms and appropriate expectations. |
