Frequently asked questions:
Kid Club
what ages may attend kid Club?
Kid Club is suggested for children ages 5 and up, but is open to others as long as children are able to listen and stay engaged in class. Ballet is the best fit for younger children to begin.
are classes appropriate for boys and girls?
All classes are appropriate for all genders.
what do kids need to bring to class?
Kids should dress comfortably in activewear that allows for ease of movement; no uniforms are required. Sneakers or tennis shoes are best for Break'n, and ballet shoes are best for Ballet; Karate and Yoga are practiced in bare feet. Kids should come prepared with a bottle of drinking water, but cups for water are available as needed. Yoga mats are provided.
are parents required to stay during class?
Generally parents do not need to stay for class, but should make sure to arrive on time for pick-up after class. Parents may choose to stay as new students get comfortable in the class environment, or parents may be asked to stay to help if a child has displayed a pattern of disrupting class. Parents are always welcome in the room to offer support and may even participate in class; we ask that parents please be considerate and take outside any conversations or activities that may distract the students or teachers. Parents are always welcome to take a chair outside and use the studio wifi.
Do I need to pre-register?
There is no need to pre-register; simply come to the studio prepared for class. When classes begin to fill to capacity of 15 students, we may implement a pre-registration process.
when can my child start the program?
Children may begin the program at any time, any day of the month or week. Kid Club passes are valid for four weeks from the day they are begun.
what does the program cost?
The Kid Club program cost $28 for four weeks and includes all classes. A single drop-in class costs $9.
can kids try a class before signing up for the program?
If you are unsure whether your child will like the program, you may try classes at the drop-in rate. If you later decide to opt for the four-week pass, these drop-in payments may be applied toward a pass beginning the date of the first drop-in class.
