SATURDAY & SUNDAY, JANUARY 4TH & 5TH, 12:00 - 4:00 PMThe first day begins with introductions and an activity to start sensing energy. We will cover the training manual material: Reiki Basics, Principles & Precepts, The Traditional Reiki Story, and Self-Healing Technique with time for questions and discussion. After a short break, Teagan will conduct an attunement ceremony, attuning each student to the Reiki Energy so that you may access and channel Reiki energy for yourself and for others. After the ceremony, we will allow time for meditation and journaling, setting intention for our Reiki practice. The first day concludes with guided practice offering oneself a full Reiki self-healing session. When we reconvene for the second day, we will touch-base and see how everyone is feeling before reviewing the training manual material on Healing Others and Conducting Complete Reiki Sessions for Others. Students will pair in partners, and Teagan will guide the group in practicing offering Reiki Healing to another. After a short break, partners will switch roles as giver and receiver. We'll take time to reflect and conclude with discussion and answer any remaining questions. This eight-hour Level I Reiki Training prepares students to use Reiki Energy Healing for themselves and for others, and includes the Training Manual and Certificate of Completion. Please register in advance; space is limited to 12 students. Read about Teagan's Reiki & Bodywork Training & Philosophy

THURSDAYS 5:30 - 7:30 PM |
Reiki sessions are excellent for pain-relief, stress-relief, and deep relaxation. The Reiki energy guides an intuitive sequence of gentle hands-on massage specific to the client in the present moment. In activating acupressure points and reflex points, we balance and regulate the body's energy flows, and reboot the lymphatic system, which is essential for healthy immune function and detoxification. Reiki works on all levels--physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual; clients sometimes experience a release of old emotions or memories that have been manifesting as aches or tensions in the body. The deep relaxation these sessions induce allows clients to move from the sympathetic to the parasympathetic nervous system, activating the natural healing processes that normally function during deep sleep; many clients sleep through the entire session. Wear comfortable loose clothing, natural fabrics are best, and avoid wearing extra accessories or jewelry. Sessions are 60 minutes of healing work, with some extra time to chat before and afterward. | Read about Teagan's Reiki & Bodywork Training & Philosophy |
This half-hour massage focused on the head, neck, and ears is an incredible stress relief. The ears especially hold a key to deep relaxation and healing for many issues because of their unique design. Like the hands and feet, the ears contain zoned reflex points that relate to all the organs and systems of the body, and Chinese medicine practitioners have mapped more than 100 specific acupoints in the ears corresponding to body parts and ailments. This gentle massage involves releasing tensions from the top of the shoulders and neck, a thorough relaxing ear-rub, and soothing holds on the head. | Read about Teagan's Reiki & Bodywork Training & Philosophy |
Reiki Training & Certifications
I began my journey with Reiki somewhat inadvertently in 2008, accepting an invitation to join in Ann Twohig's level I training, which she had extended to the staff of the daycare where I worked in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Skeptical at first, having never before heard of anything like Reiki, I approached the material with an open mind. After completing the training and the intense attunement ceremony that left me feeling more light and peaceful than I could ever remember, I could not deny the practice's profound effect. I continued training in Costa Rica with Deva Mitra at Pachamama in 2011, and with Lori Lee Myles at Mystica in 2012 before completing the Master level course in the Usui/Tibetan Reiki system in 2013 with Michael Baird and Laurelle Gaia at Peace Place in Sedona, Arizona, becoming certified through The International Center for Reiki Training to teach Reiki and pass attunements. I have taught Level I & II Reiki trainings through my yoga studio spaces in Playas del Coco, Costa Rica, and at The Boghill Centre in Clare, Ireland, and I have loved sharing this amazing healing energy with clients, students, friends, and family, whether in professional settings, in spontaneous makeshift locations throughout my travels, or in the comfort of one's home. The more I work with the energy, the more it continues to open new realms of understanding and healing and call me to deepen this lifelong practice.
Therapeutic Bodywork Training
Once I began working with clients on a regular basis offering Reiki Healing at my first yoga studio space, I started to notice that I was guided to specific bodypoints time and again, and felt inspired to pursue acupressure, reflexology, and other forms of healing bodywork to learn more about specific point systems and body structures. I began studies at McKinnon Body Therapy Center in Oakland, California in 2013, where I completed the Eastern Systems Program with Carl Johns and Jason Fry, and the Advanced Acupressure Program with Jason Frye and Kathleen Davis. At McKinnon I fulfilled over 555 hours of bodywork training in Acupressure, Reflexology, Lymph Drainage, Shiatsu, and Swedish Massage, and explored the foundations of Tui Na and Craniosacral Therapy. In 2015 I completed first-level certification in The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy with Eva Sengfelder in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica, and in 2018 in Escazu, Costa Rica, I studied with Rose Erin Vaughan to complete first-level certification in Science of Self Acupressure, a system bridging Acupressure with Yoga. I intend to continue study around how Acupressure and Yoga interplay and relate, and hope to explore more healing modalities in the years ahead.
Healing Philosophy
I recognize that every individual is responsible for their own health and healing and follows their own path and timeframe, so I do not identify as a healer, rather seeing my role as a spacekeeper, providing an environment and opportunity to encourage and support an individual's own healing process. My role is to create a time and place for extended deep relaxation, inviting the parasympathetic nervous system to activate and the lymphatic system to reboot, to stimulate the body's natural functions to rest and repair, digest and process, detoxify and heal. With consistent focus toward a natural harmonious state, I sense where points of deficiency and excess may rebalance, places where holding may release, where inflammations may calm, where what is depleted may be nourished, and what is misaligned may recalibrate. Each session is unique to the individual, what is present in the moment, and how they may best be served.
