In Yin Yoga we move slowly, taking extended time in postures to allow our awareness to turn inward, becoming present with the sensations in the body, the qualities of the breath, and the patterns of the mind. We may use support from props to assist in finding stillness, which sometimes can feel challenging despite our intent to relinquish any effort and find full relaxation. Each week our practice will focus on one of the seven main chakras–the energy centers along our central channel–and we will explore the qualities and themes associated with each, whether cultivating stability, creativity, confidence, compassion, expression, intuition, or connection. While you are encouraged to explore the full journey starting with the grounding Root Chakra and moving upward toward the expansive Crown Chakra, these classes can be enjoyed as individual practices as well. You are invited to come and slow down, soften, listen inwardly, and create a little more space for yourself. Please bring a yoga mat, water, and anything that will help you feel comfortable and supported through longer holds. Designed to quiet the mind, soften the body, and reconnect with the breath, this slow flow practice is suitable for all levels and provides a calm and steady reset. We will begin by taking a few moments to journal, releasing any persistent thoughts or worries, and letting go of the mental clutter we might be carrying. This will not be a lengthy time to reflect, just a focused pause to acknowledge what’s been occupying our mental space and let it leave through pen to page. Setting our journals aside, we will center ourselves on the mat and begin with gentle seated postures to warm and ready the body for mindful movement. Flowing though simple sequences, finding ease in our effort, we will make our way to standing postures to summon our stability, grounding ourselves with presence. Gradually we will wind down to a restful savasana; in stillness our awareness will reside with the breath. To conclude we will take a brief opportunity to share reflections or questions, making space for support, connection, and community. Please bring a yoga mat, water, journal, and pen. In the space there are mats for rent for ₡1,000, mats for sale for ₡10,000, and blocks and props free to use.

These sessions offer an hour of dynamic Vinyasa Yoga, October's focus on open-hip arm balances. These are active sequences applying effort to overcome any inertia, and move our bodies in new ways to regenerate our inner momentum. This class is intended for participants of all levels, and to ensure that all students may practice as appropriate for their particular capacities and limits, Gaëlle will explain variations and offer personalized guidance. While Gaëlle does incorporate hands-on adjustments, know that these are optional and communicate if you’d prefer not to receive them. After our time building up our energies and synching our movements with the breath, we will find rest in an extended half-hour savasana. As we settle into stillness, Gaëlle will play singing bowls, bells, rattles, and other instruments, creating a coherent soundscape to organize our energy field and support the subtle shifts ignited in our practice. Please bring a yoga mat, water, a towel, and anything additional to feel comfortable in our extended savasana sound healing experience. In the space there are mats for rent for ₡1,000, mats for sale for ₡10,000, and blocks and props free to use.

These classes begin with grounding ourselves in our bodies, bringing our awareness to our breath, and from this centered state flowing into Sun Salutations, progressive standing postures and balances, and other poses to build strength and vitality. Then the sequences will slow, moving into deeper stretches in seated and reclined poses, before settling to rest in Savasana. Lisa leads this practice focused through a lens on the Yamas and Niyamas–the ethical guidelines from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, such as Ahimsa (non-harming), Santosha (contentment), Aparigraha (letting go), Tapas (discipline), and Svadhyaya (self-study). Traditionally yoga students studied the Yamas and Niyamas, the first two limbs of the eightfold path of yoga, before practicing the next two limbs, Asana (postures), and Pranayama (mindful breathing). Now more commonly students learn the Yamas and Niyamas only after starting with postures and breath, so in this class Lisa aims to introduce the foundational philosophy and inspire students to extend their yoga practice beyond the shala and the mat. Students are encouraged always to explore variations, rest when needed, and make the practice their own. Please bring a mat and water. Mats are available to rent for ₡1,000 or purchase for ₡10,000, and blocks and props are free to use.
